Engineering Manager - Data Platform

Come join us, and let the world feel your work As Engineering Manager, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our data product strategy, with real freedom to experiment with new tooling and processes in the age of agents. The Data Platform team sets the technical direction for how Epidemic Sound works with data, helping other teams work independently with modern data infrastructure. We believe the best collaboration happens in the same room. This role is hybrid, based at our Stockholm HQ, with the expectation that you'll spend the majority of your time in the office with the team. Your key responsibilities include - Owning team health, individual growth, and delivery for the Data Platform team. - Aligning the platform's roadmap with the broader engineering and data strategy. - Staying hands-on, contributing directly to the team's day-to-day work. - Partnering closely with engineering and product leaders company-wide to align platform direction with their needs. - Managing relationships with third-party suppliers supporting the data platform. Requirements - A few years of experience as an Engineering Manager, with the ability to turn ambiguous, high-level plans into tangible, actionable work. - Proven experience building and maintaining data platforms. - Willingness to work hands-on as an individual contributor when needed. - An independent mindset paired with strong communication skills, able to bridge technical conversations with engineers and engage effectively with cross-domain and external stakeholders. - Experience with BigQuery, GCS, Airflow (Cloud Composer), Pub/Sub, and Snowplow. It would also be music to our ears if you have - Experience with data modeling (dbt).
