The Mission The Volvo Group Engineers are committed to develop 100% fossil free, 100% safe products. As a part of the Volvo Group digital transformation, we are developing the next generation tools to manage the product platform that aims to support the engineers on this challenging journey. We aim to reshape the user experience with much better assistance and help to automate both small and complex tasks. What you will do We are bit by bit transforming our monolith solution to a modern cloud native microservice architecture. Your work will be to develop the frontend of these new tools and bring a new level of user experience to the Volvo Group engineers. In this role, you will be hands on with coding and also help setting the standard for our frontend solution design. You will also get the chance to explore business needs and from that knowledge define future solutions together with Product Owners, UX Designers, Solution Architects and Software Engineers. Your future team We are one of four product teams developing and maintaining the core application within the product development at Volvo (KOLA) – the heart of Volvo product documentation. You also apply critical thinking and sense-making to navigate complexity and solve challenging problems in a structured, thoughtful way. You are also fluent in English (both speaking and writing), and preferably Swedish as well. We think you have: •    Several years of experience in developing complex web applications with frontend technologies such as React, Angular and TypeScript. •    Experience in automated workflows using Azure and GitHub Actions. •    Knowledge in how to design web applications with security focus from start. •    Knowledge in optimizing page loading times as well as responsive UI. •    Knowledge in backend development, primarily Java. •    Knowledge in designing REST APIs. •    Experience from Spring framework. •    Experience from working in an agile team. •    And that you are fluent in English (both speaking and writing), and preferably Swedish as well.  Nice to have: •    Knowledge in developing with Web Components •    Knowledge in Bootstrap, CSS-in-JS, Styled Components, Tailwind •    Knowledge in UX-Design best practices, like Lean UX and Design Thinking. •    Knowledge in asynchronous programming, microservice architecture, cloud services and test automation frameworks.
