Junior System Architect, Cyber Defense Services

Junior System Architect, Cyber Defense Services NetNordic is strengthening its Cyber Defense Services business unit's Platform Team and is seeking a Junior System Architect to play a key role in the architecture, evolution, and long-term scalability of our Private Cloud and Cybersecurity platform infrastructure. This position is designed for someone who brings some technical experience, architectural thinking, and the motivation to grow into platform development work in a complex, security-critical, Artificial Intelligence enriched environment. You will collaborate with software developers, system engineers, and other infrastructure architects to design, modernize, and continuously improve the core data systems powering our SOC (Security Operations Center) services. Beyond implementation, you will contribute to technical direction, best practices, and platform reliability at scale. Location: Turku, Finland (hybrid work) Type: Full-time, permanent employment What we expect • Hands-on experience in system development and/or infrastructure engineering • Familiar with virtualization and storage technologies • Working knowledge of Linux environments • Understanding of container technologies such as Docker and LXC • Understanding of infrastructure automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or SaltStack • Understanding of search and analytics engines (e.g., Apache Solr, Elasticsearch, Algolia, Sphinx or similar technologies) • Familiar with large-scale document-oriented databases • Strong written and spoken English (Finnish considered a plus) • Ability to obtain required security clearance Your Role and Impact • Support platform security, reliability, and performance in line with SOC operational requirements with support of other team members • Design and development of our automated, scalable, and secure Private Cloud platform with support of other team members • AI utilisation to the system design and infrastructure • Implement changes related to Linux-based infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and large-scale data systems according to defined processes • Help optimize search and analytics platforms supporting high-volume data environments • Contribute to automation, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure-as-code implementations Considered a Strong Advantage • Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, Go, or similar) • Experience in database architecture and performance optimization • Secure development and DevSecOps principles • Background spanning system administration, platform engineering, and development • Finnish skills Interested?
