Your impact as a Data Architect We are looking for a hands-on Data Architect who wants to bring clarity, structure and direction to how our products understand, manage and use data. You will take end-to-end ownership of the shared data model across our product family. You will work hands-on with complex data modelling and database design, from defining shared concepts and structures to designing concrete physical models. You will shape the direction of our data architecture and how our data models evolve. You will be responsible for the data models of our key data assets and data warehouse, including their lifecycle and retention principles. Your work will also help create a strong and understandable data foundation for future analytics, data products and AI use cases. You will review and approve data model and schema changes and ensure that new solutions are developed in line with our shared architecture. Your responsibilities will also include: • supporting product development, customer projects and sales cases related to data architecture and migrations • planning migrations, including data mapping, validation and reconciliation • guiding design decisions involving large data volumes • documenting data models and architecture decisions, and coaching colleagues in data modelling • using AI tools in modelling, documentation and technical reviews Although the role comes with considerable responsibility and independence, you will not work alone. You will collaborate across the organization with the people involved in shaping, building and evolving our products and data solutions, helping ensure that data-related decisions support both current needs and the future direction of our architecture. You will report to the Chief Architect. What we expect from you • At least seven years of experience in database-focused software development • Strong hands-on data modelling skills, from conceptual and logical models to physical data models and database design • Strong expertise in relational databases and SQL • Experience owning and developing data models for application databases across multiple systems, products or domains • Experience with data warehouse modelling and integrating data from multiple source systems • Practical experience using AI tools in your day-to-day work, for example in modelling, documentation and technical reviews • A product-oriented mindset: you understand product and business needs and can build data models that support both current and future requirements • Fluent English and proficiency in either Finnish or Swedish Considered an advantage • Experience with PostgreSQL • Experience in health technology • Experience in another highly regulated industry Why Mylab?
