Job Overview Assignment Description We are looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to improve development tools and automated delivery pipelines within an organisation with extensive COBOL development on IBM z/OS. The role combines hands-on technical work with responsibility for evaluating and improving tools, processes and technical solutions. You will work closely with developers, infrastructure teams and external technology providers to establish efficient, automated and quality-assured development and delivery processes. What You Will Work On Develop and maintain tools and processes for COBOL development on IBM z/OS. Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated delivery processes. Integrate development tools with version control and deployment solutions. Identify opportunities to improve automation, quality and developer experience. Evaluate new technologies and contribute to technical and architectural decisions. Provide technical guidance and support to development teams. Collaborate with internal technology teams and external suppliers. What You Bring Experience with COBOL development and modern mainframe development environments. Good understanding of IBM z/OS. Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and automated development and delivery pipelines. Experience with Git and version control. Knowledge of Linux and Java. Ability to take technical ownership, evaluate solutions and drive improvements. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Fluency in Swedish and English. Meritorious Experience building modern COBOL pipelines. Experience with z/OS development tools. Experience with TeamCity, Artifactory or IBM DevOps Deploy. Experience with AI-related initiatives in software development.
